Volunteering "Imagine the freedom, for someone with a disability, of moving across this earth on a horse... Imagine the joy of forming a friendship with this magical animal... Imagine what such a friendship can do for someone who has difficulty communicating... Imagine the confidence and self-esteem that could come from achieving together... Imagine the physical benefits from being astride a warm, muscular animal whose motions simulate walking... Imagine the balance and co-ordination stimulated by the horse's lateral and vertical movement... Imagine the fun of riding compared to clinical therapy... Imagine making new friends with the other riders and volunteers..." Our local centres and national office both appreciate the generous donation of time by our many volunteers. From helping with the CanTRA booth at a trade show to volunteering regularly at a riding centre, volunteering is a great way to meet new people and see the empowering effects of therapeutic riding. Donations CanTRA relies solely on memberships, donations and fundraising to support its operations. As a registered national charity, we provide tax receipts for all donations over $10.00. How Your Donation Helps: $20 Assists with a telephone help line to answer questions from across the country $50 Helps an individual become a certified instructor $100 Supports the publication of CanTRA’s national newsletter $250 Promotes therapeutic riding through education $500 Sends a trained therapeutic riding instructor to a small or remote centre to develop that program $1,000   Will help establish a new centre by sending personnel to the area for a training program. CanTRA Membership CanTRA membership connects interested groups and individuals to a national community of like-minded people, and provides a wealth of advantages to riders, drivers, volunteers, staff and CanTRA Centres.
